What will be discussed in The Investor Lab™?
We will spend time over the next 30 days going over 3 things: the best type of account to invest with, the power of just $100, and the investment type (ETFs - exchange traded funds) that is low risk. This will be a live virtual experience where you can get answers in real-time. It is extremely beginner-friendly, so we won’t be discussing advanced investing strategies like cryptocurrency, living off your investments (not yet, at least), or real estate. The focus is on investing in the stock market for long-term growth.
Lastly, I would be foolish if I didn’t add this disclaimer: DO NOT EXPECT TO GET RICH OR WEALTHY OVERNIGHT. Scamming might be better for you, haha.
Will you invest the $100 for me?
No, I am a certified financial educator, not a financial advisor. I will provide you with the foundational knowledge that will help you make an educated decision on what to invest your first $100 in. It’s your money, your account, and your journey. I’m here to support you.
How will I know this works?
When it comes to investing, there is no guarantee. At the end of the day, investing is a risk. My goal is to help you lower your risk with education first. However, I will provide you with an investment tracker that can help you monitor your progress and make changes along the way. Some days you’ll see growth, and some days you’ll see drops - but it’s important to keep going and not panic. All of this will be discussed.
Is this a 1:1 experience?
No, this is a small group setting of like-minded women (20 is the max) who are also passionate about growing their money through investing. You will meet your people, trust me. However, I will be providing 1:1s post experience if you have questions (founding members only).
Will these be available to watch later?
For a set time, yes. Historically, I’ve learned that my audience prefers learning in real-time. As such, it is extremely important for you to be there every Saturday for the next 5 weeks. By the end, you will have invested your first $100. Long story short, we need you there. :-)
How much time does this take?
Each weekly live session will be around 2 hours.
And then for the action items (think homework), you will need about 1 hour per week. Each step is designed to be simple and actionable so you can make progress without feeling overwhelmed.
