Episode 7: How To Invest In Historically Black Neighborhoods Collectively With Torrence of HBCU Realty
Torrence Reed is a native of Durham, NC and a proud graduate of Riverside High School. He is an IT Professional with over 17 years of corporate, small business and government experience as a Tech and Real Estate Investor, Social Entrepreneur, Speaker and Author.

Torrence's work to educate others on the convergence of finance and technology, has afforded him to be featured in local and national news outlets such as Blavity, Black Enterprise, The Karen Hunter Show on Sirius XM, The Washington Post, HBCU Lifestyle and American Banker.

He has spoken for the United Negro College Fund, The Perkins Leadership Training Institute, The Harbor Institute and many institutions of higher education. Mr. Reed is the Co-Author of "Dream Big. Dream Often. Dream Unrealistic. Sidelines to Get Off The Sidelines" and a contributing author for "The HBCU Experience: North Carolina A&T State University Edition".

Torrence continues to be an advocate for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). His love for HBCUs has led to the creation of both HBCU Wall Street and HBCU Realty. He is also a co-founder of nonprofit organization, “Standing Tall for Success, Inc.”

He is a 2018 Black Enterprise Modern Man and a proud graduate of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro, NC, where he majored in Management Information Systems, B.S. Torrence spends his free time looking for promising startups to invest in.
