What people are saying...
But wait, who am I really?
I'm Joshlyn: a Certified Financial Educator, self-taught Investor and proud alumna of Clark Atlanta University who dug myself out of $80,000 in debt, started generating $500 in monthly passive income, and confidently bought myself a house all within a 2-year time span. I’ve helped over 200 women jumpstart their investing journey and supported over 400 women in purchasing their first homes. I’ve also partnered with companies such as Fundrise, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, and Chase Bank just to name a few.
I didn’t always think like this though. Like 73% of millennials, I was a part of the “paycheck to paycheck” gang for a long time. But a few things happened. I quit a toxic job with no real income plan, I got laid off unexpectedly from another job, and I had the nerve to try to buy a home in the mindset of all that.
I knew I never wanted to be at the mercy of an employer again - and as I shared my story, I realized that others felt the same. We were tired of being passed over for promotions, tired of small pay increases and tired of earning 63 cents for every dollar white men earn. It was time for me (and others) to find a way, but in my case - I created one.
Maximized Money LLC, a financial education platform where we help
9-5 earning, black women professionals
transform their money mindset and
start believing (and acting) in what’s possible
for them financially. We all work hard enough, it’s
time for our money to work for us.
