5 Money Moves I'm Making As A 30-Something Year Old
Being in my 30s has been a sweet spot for me because I thoroughly enjoyed my 20s and i'm also much more strategic with how I spend/manage my money.
There are so many money lessons in 30s that I wish I learned earlier honestly. Such as the importance of investing in real estate or putting aside more money into a high-yield savings account (or CD) sooner. Learning how to save money in your 20s will help you reach your financial goals before 30 - and then the 30s become oh so sweet. Like retire early sweet. But I learned these a little late so if you haven’t already, check out 5 money moves I wish I made in my 20s video so that you can set yourself up for success.
In this video, we will talk about some simple wealth building strategies and money tips that I hope fellow 30-somethings are following. I’ll also include some what I wish I knew before 30 tips such as the importance of 401(k) matching and house hacking.
Maybe your goal is to make work optional. Maybe your goal is to travel the world without working another job to do so. Whatever it is, I got you. By the end of this video, you’ll have a clearer understanding of everything you need to know about finances in your 30s. But don’t stop here. Check out other resources and do your research to identify the best personal finance for millennials strategies for you. These are just what worked for ME.
The reality is, saving money isn’t enough. You have to prioritize learning how to build wealth in your 20s so you aren’t playing catch up in your 30s like I am. And plenty of my friends as well. We traveled, we ate well, we drank even more. But we also could have used a lesson on how to budget and save money in your 20s to go along with living our best lives.
